And Then There Were Beards: A Murder Mystery
We have partnered with The Bearded Company improv troupe to create a completely improvised, Agatha Christie-style mystery underscored by the music of MPLS (imPulse). The music features an improvised commissioning project by McKnight winning composer, Joshua Clausen. The audience will follow the clues as the story and characters develop. With a few twists, turns and the possible mistaken identity, The Bearded Company will attempt to uncover who is to blame. You don’t want to miss this one! …or do you?

Joshua Clausen’s music inhabits stylistic interstices, blending elements of concert music, new music technologies and varied popular forms. Described by Public Radio International as “powerful” and “poignant,” Clausen’s works frequently fuse strong rhythmic textures, intense harmony and intricate patterning with narratives from history, mass culture and current events.
