Meet our collaborators:
Cynthia Kim is a curious truth-seeker, enthusiastic life-explorer, and healer. Cynthia is a 200 RYT and is currently pursuing her Master’s in Integrative Health & Wellbeing Coaching at the University of Minnesota. She was trained by E-RYT and Shamanic Reiki Healer, Nicole Doherty through YogaWorks after graduating UCLA with a Psychobiology B.S. While in her undergrad, she took courses through the UCLA Mindful Awareness Research Center, taught pole dance as a therapeutic outlet for women, led expressive writing workshops for homeless youth, assisted an art therapist in her work at homeless shelters, worked as a Medical Assistant and Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation technician at psychiatric practices, and taught Mindfulness and Yogic breathing to children in LA. With those experiences and her experience teaching yoga at studios, corporations, and private homes for the last four years in the Twin Cities, she has gained a scientific and experiential understanding of the mind-body connection and its significance in approaching human health and happiness. Cynthia creates a soft nurturing space of curious exploration. She gently encourages her students through intelligent yoga sequences and meditations and empowers them to be agents of their own healing.
Cynthia has enjoyed involvement and collaborations with 612Brew, the Penny George Institute, the Department of Surgery at University of Minnesota, Northern Edge Chiropractic, and Care Providers of Minnesota. She is honored and excited to work with MPLS (imPulse) to bring a unique choral yoga experience to the Twin Cities.
