Position: Arts Administrator for MPLS (imPulse)

Hours: Part-time, average 4-5 hrs/week. $330/month
Job Summary
The Arts Administrator ensures the ongoing and smooth execution of regular MPLS (imPulse) activities for all artistic projects. The successful candidate knows how to effectively engage different groups of people with limited time (board members, volunteers, contractors, singers, donors), minimize the effort of repetitive work, communicate accomplishments and ask for help, keep meticulous track of goals and progress, and positively represent MPLS (imPulse)’s mission & vision.

Responsibilities & Duties
Project Management
- Manage Front of House for all events and recruit volunteers as needed
- Ensure our CRM—Artful.ly—functions as ticketing, donation and data gathering platform
- Assist the Artistic Director as needed on project logistics
- Implement annual marketing and communications plan, including:
- Lead design of written copy and content for projects, i.e. press releases, audience promotions, media pitches, promotional emails
- Execute the optimal use of online marketing channels; including website (www.mplsimpulse.org), online concert calendar listings, mailing list emails, & social media posts and engagement
- Maintain audio/visual materials from media photo shoots, audio recordings, videos, etc for promotional use on all marketing platforms
- Respond to media inquiries
- Assemble and mail donation acknowledgements upon receipt
Qualifications
- An abiding passion for music and other arts created by people alive here and now
- Demonstrated ability to organize for others and pay attention to the details that matter
- A strong go-getter attitude - works autonomously with minimal supervision
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Comfort and fluency in technologies listed in the responsibilities section; a willingness to provide direction for improvement on database and website management, and on social media platforms
